Lord I ask for courage
Courage to face and conquer my own fears
Courage to take me where others will not go
I ask for strength
Strength of body to protect others and strength of spirit to lead others
I ask for dedication
Dedication to do my job and do it well.
Dedication to my community to keep it safe.
Give me Lord, concern for others who trust me and compassion for those who need me..
And Please Lord through it all be at my side.
Officer Daniel L. Alix suffered a massive heart attack on duty and died on August 2, 1997. Officer Alix left behind his wife Margie and their three sons, Daniel Jr., Thomas and David.
In this photograph, taken in 1995, he is shown with his youngest son, David.
Dan Jr. followed in his fathers footsteps to become a full time officer with the Plympton Police Department in 2010.
